Photo Announcement # 1
Production Time:
- Once we have your photos and your text is finalized, we will send you the proof in 3 business days (if you have physically mailed us a photo, allow an additional 3 days). Once you approve the proof, the order normally ships on the 3rd business day after the proof approval.
- Production time does not include shipping time, nor does it include the day your order is placed. To allow plenty of time, we recommend that you order photo announcements 3 weeks before you plan to mail them out. (If you are planning to physically mail the photo, add a week to this estimate.)
- A variety of shipping options are offered in the checkout area.
- If we need to contact you about your text, we normally do it in the first 24 hours after you place the order. The production time does not begin until we have received a response from you, if necessary, and have your photo in a usable format.
What's Included (Please read carefully):
- This photo announcement opens to three panels wide with room for a senior photo and four other photos. These can be "timeline" shots of the student's life, as shown here, or other senior photos - anything you'd like, each with its own caption!
- Printing is flat, colored ink. The paper for this announcement is not a glossy paper. The cards are shipped flat and are scored for folding.
- Every Photo Announcement includes a black and white .pdf proof of the announcement before it is printed. This allows you to see the layout, cropping, and typesetting before printing, and to make changes if needed.
- You may choose from a number of "background colors" for this announcement.
- Use any of the lettering styles for the text.
- You may use one of our suggested texts, or write your own. There are 5 different areas of text. The front of the card has room for 5 lines of text, with 45 characters and spaces per line. Not many of our suggested texts will fit in this small space, but the style of the card is informal, so using numerals for the time and date will help condense the text.
- The inside of the card has room for 4 photos and 4 small areas of descriptive text, each with room for 7 lines and 22 characters and spaces per line.
- The card measures 4.5" x 6.125" when closed. When open, it is 13.5" x 6.125".

- Envelope printing is available for an additional charge and is offered at the bottom of the order form.
Your Photos:
- It is best to discuss the use of the senior photo with the photographer before having a professional photo taken. Often a photographer is much more willing to allow the use of the photo(s) if they are approached before a decision is made to have them take the photos.
- We must have an authorization form for each photo you plan to use. You may print the from from our site and email or fax it to us, or enclose it with a photo that is being sent by mail. If you are e-mailing your photo, you may scan and e-mail the form to us. If it is one you have taken yourself, you sign it. If it is taken by someone else, professional or not, they must sign it. This lets us know that you have permission to use the photo.
- Photos may be sent to us digitally or through the mail. If you send your photo by mail, DO NOT send an irreplaceable original photo. We will make every effort to return them, but we cannot guarantee the mail service.
- If submitting a digital photo, it must be between 300 dpi and 600 dpi and at least as large as the finished photo will be when printed.
- Photos are cropped to fit the opening size on the template. They are printed as submitted; they are not "touched up" or "improved." If you send a poor quality photo or one that is too dark, we will contact you to let you know that the photo will not print well.
- Please read our photo specifications page for detailed information about the photos.
- On the evening of the day your order is placed (and paid for), you will get an e-mail from us about the order. If you plan to e-mail the photo, do so by replying to that e-mail from us.
